WAX CARVING TASTER WORKSHOP - 3 Hour Class
WAX CARVING TASTER WORKSHOP - 3 Hour Class
Couldn't load pickup availability
This taster workshop is for those of you who would love to experience the magic of the lost wax method and explore the art of jewellery making in a relaxed, hands-on environment. No experience is necessary.
In this friendly and informal session, you'll learn how to carve your very own ring or pendant design from jeweller’s wax using traditional tools and techniques. Your wax creation will then be professionally cast into sterling silver or bronze and hand-finished by Sally in her Mt Eden studio. The finished piece will be ready for pickup or couriered within 2–3 weeks.
This is a wonderful introduction to jewellery making, with plenty of opportunity to personalise your design, experiment with textures, and get creative!
Due to my studio size, I limit class numbers to a maximum of two people. I also run the class for individuals—no need to book with a buddy.

Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a class, and students will have the option to be refunded if this should occur.
If you are unable to make it, please get in touch, and we can try to book you for a later date. However, refunds will not be offered.
As these are bespoke classes, run in a jewellery workshop, please respect the jeweller's time. We require a 1-week notice in writing before the class for the full transfer of credit. Meaning you can use it to book another class at a time that suits you, and we can do our best to fill your spot. If you miss this window, we encourage you to find a mate or gift your slot. If in doubt, get in touch, as we might have a mate you can borrow.
Flick us an email at sally@herbertandwilks.co.nz to organise transferring your credit if you need to cancel.
Where we’ll be
The class is held in my home-based jewellery studio in Mt Eden, Auckland. You’ll have your own workspace and access to all tools and materials. Times may vary slightly from the stated duration depending on the flow of the session.
