Pōhutukawa sapphire eternity ring featuring eight 2mm blue sapphires set in sterling silver. Delicate interwoven band design (6mm at widest point) with botanical pōhutukawa leaves and wood bark texture. Ring size O. CAD-designed and cast. Made to order in Auckland, New Zealand. Available in gold—email for quote.

This Interwoven Ring Band celebrates New Zealand's iconic pōhutukawa through precious metal and gemstones. Two delicate vines flow around your finger in an elegant dance—one adorned with intricate pōhutukawa leaves, the other textured with the organic grain of wood bark. At each crossing point, a 2mm blue sapphire catches the light, creating eight moments of brilliance that trace the ring's flowing pattern.

Designed in CAD and expertly cast in sterling silver, this piece sits at the refined end of the Interwoven collection. The delicate band features a flowing pattern that moves gracefully in and out, creating depth and movement as the vines wrap around your finger. It's a ring that rewards closer inspection—each leaf carefully rendered, each sapphire precisely set where nature's architecture intersects.

  • Celebrating a 25-year anniversary with enduring New Zealand symbolism
  • Wearing as an eternity band to mark a lifelong commitment

Materials & Care:
Sterling silver will naturally develop a patina over time, adding character and depth to the textured bark vine. To maintain the bright finish, gently polish with a soft cloth. Blue sapphires (hardness 9 on Mohs scale) are durable and suitable for everyday wear. Due to the delicate nature of the band, handle with care and store separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratching. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, chlorine, and saltwater. Remove before swimming, bathing, or exercising.

Customization:
This ring can be crafted in 9ct, 14ct, or 18ct yellow, white, or rose gold. Different ring sizes are also available. Email sally.h@herbertandwilks.co.nz with your requirements for a personalised quote and timeline.

Styling:
This ring pairs beautifully with the Pōhutukawa Leaf Earrings from our collection, creating a refined botanical set. The blue sapphires add a touch of colour that complements both silver and gold pieces, making it versatile for layering with other delicate rings or wearing as a standalone statement.

About the Design:
The pōhutukawa tree, known as New Zealand's Christmas tree, blooms with vibrant red flowers each December along coastal areas. This ring captures the essence of those delicate leaves in precious metal, intertwined with the natural texture of bark and the brilliance of sapphires. Each piece celebrates New Zealand's native flora through meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
