Bronze Cat Pin

A 46mm × 21mm bronze cat pin weighing approximately 7g, individually made with a softly textured, hand-finished surface and an organic sculptural feel. Designed and finished in my Mt Eden, Auckland studio, this small-batch piece of cat jewellery adds character to a shirt, dress, hat or bag and makes a distinctive handmade gift for a cat lover or anyone who prefers jewellery with a little personality.

No. They come from the same design, but each one is individually finished by hand, so there will be subtle differences in texture and surface.

Try it on a linen or cotton shirt, a dress, a sunhat or a favourite bag. Because it is a pin, choose a fabric with enough structure to comfortably support it.

Style & Inspiration

I wanted the Cat Pin to have character without becoming overly cute.

The cat has been reduced to a simple, slightly irregular form, allowing the bronze surface and hand finishing to become part of the design. Rather than feeling like a novelty brooch, it sits somewhere between jewellery and a small sculptural object.

It’s an easy way to add a little personality to a simple summer outfit — particularly if you prefer individual pieces over something polished and mass-produced.
