Questions
Is every Dog Pin exactly the same?
No. They come from the same design, but each one is individually finished by hand, so there will be small differences in texture and surface.
Where can I wear it?
Try it on a linen or cotton shirt, a dress, sunhat or favourite bag. As with any pin, choose a fabric with enough structure to comfortably support it.
Is it suitable as a gift?
Yes. It makes a fun but still distinctly handmade gift for a dog lover, or for someone who enjoys jewellery with character rather than something mass-produced.
Style & Inspiration
With two dogs in our house, how could I not have one of the pins featuring a dog?
This one has spots for Ella and character in spades for George. I wasn't trying to make a portrait of either of them — more to capture that slightly chaotic, individual personality dogs seem to bring with them.
The simple shape, irregular texture and hand-finished surface keep it firmly in HerbertandWilks territory: a little quirky, a little imperfect and full of character.
