Chain 🖤 Links and repetition — everyday forms, reworked by hand

The Oval Link Chain is a beautifully simple, substantial sterling silver necklace, individually handmade in my Mt Eden, Auckland studio. Each 20mm oval link is formed, joined and soldered by hand, including the hook clasp, giving the chain its own character and a lovely tactile quality. Finished with a soft satin polish, this 20-inch (50.8cm) necklace has a satisfying weight of 25.7g. Wear it on its own, layer it with other favourites or add a charm or two. A timeless everyday chain, made to be worn often and enjoyed for years to come.

Can I add a pendant or charm? Yes. The oval links are ideal for adding a favourite charm or pendant with a suitable attachment. It looks equally good on its own.

Styling & Inspiration

There's something rather lovely about a simple silver chain. The movement of the links, the weight of the silver and the way it feels in your hands.

Wear it with a T-shirt, let it peek out from under a jumper or layer it with your other favourite necklaces. Add charms, or don't. The elongated oval links give it just enough presence to look good on its own.
