Botanical ๐ค Nature distilled in precious metals, textured, tactile, and alive
Small sterling silver flower studs inspired by plum blossom, each measuring approximately 8mm ร 8mm. Their irregular, softly sculptural petals give them a botanical feel without becoming overly pretty or delicate. Designed as an easy everyday earring, they are small enough for a second piercing or earring stack, but have enough texture and character to wear on their own. Handmade and finished in Mt Eden, Auckland.
Small. Easy to wear. Just a little bit different.

The flowers aren't meant to be perfectly identical. Just like the real thing, the petals sit a little differently from one another โ that's part of their character.
Questions
Are they small enough for everyday wear?
Yep. That's really what these are about. They're small enough to pop in and forget about, but the texture and irregular petals mean they don't feel like just another plain little stud.
Can I wear them in a second piercing?
Absolutely. At around 8mm they work really well in an earring stack โ particularly alongside a simple hoop or a slightly larger earring.
I like flowers, but I'm not really a floral-jewellery person.
You're probably exactly who I had in mind. These aren't neat, perfect little flowers. They're slightly wonky, textured and sculptural, so they have a botanical feel without heading into cute territory.
Would they make a good gift?
Yes โ particularly if you're buying for someone who wears silver studs most days. They're an easy size to wear, there's no ring size to guess, and the flower gives them a little more personality than a classic round stud. A good choice when you want a gift to feel thoughtful without making it too complicated.
Are the two earrings exactly the same?
No โ and that's intentional. There will be small differences in the petals and surface from one flower to the next. Perfectly matched isn't really the point here.
Styling & Inspiration
The original Plum Blossom pieces came from watching the plum tree beside my workshop come into flower. From a distance the blossoms look quite perfect. Get up close and they're really not โ petals overlap, curl and sit at odd little angles.
Much more interesting.
These studs strip the original Plum Blossom design right back to just the flower. No leaf, no hoop, no extra bits. Just a small piece of textured silver that happens to be a flower.
Wear them when you want an earring you don't have to think about. Add one to a second piercing when your usual hoops need a mate. Or gift them to someone who loves flowers but would run a mile from anything too pretty-pretty.
