Wrapped 🖤 Built on structure, wrapped in texture, finished in gold
The Wrapped Keum-Boo Pendant is a hand-forged sterling silver necklace featuring a tapered cylindrical form with delicate 24ct gold accents, oxidised and textured to create sculptural depth—handcrafted in New Zealand for those who appreciate artisan metalwork.
Why Choose This Pendant
This piece combines ancient Korean Keum-Boo gilding technique with contemporary sculptural form. Each pendant is individually hand-forged and textured, making every piece unique. The oxidised silver finish creates dramatic contrast with the pure gold detailing, while the tapered cylindrical shape catches light beautifully from every angle.
A gallery favourite: This design is particularly popular at our in-person markets and gallery exhibitions, where customers can appreciate the handcrafted detail and three-dimensional form up close.
How to Wear & Style
This sculptural pendant works as a statement piece worn alone on a simple chain, or layered with finer necklaces for a curated look. The oxidised silver pairs beautifully with both casual linen and elegant evening wear. The pendant sits comfortably at collarbone length or wear it longer for a more casual look.
Styling tips:
- Wear solo for maximum impact with minimalist outfits
- Layer with shorter or longer chains in mixed metals
- Pairs beautifully with other pieces from our Mixed Metal collection
- The oxidised finish complements earth tones and natural fabrics
Care & Maintenance
Sterling silver naturally develops patina over time, which enhances the oxidised finish. To maintain the contrast between oxidised and polished areas:
- Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
- Store in the provided anti-tarnish pouch when not worn
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals
- The 24ct gold Keum-Boo will not tarnish and requires no special care
- If needed, use a silver polishing cloth on non-oxidised areas only
